Celonaut Spotlight: Vitalii Korol, Senior Consultant
Introducing Vitalii Korol, one of our Senior Consultants who is transforming the way companies work. Vitalii joined Team Celonis in October 2021 so that he could take his career to the next level - and he’s done exactly that.
He shares with us what it means to be part of our Services team and how the culture at Celonis helps guarantee success for our customers.

What does it mean to be a Celonis Consultant?
Consultants combine business process consulting with their technical expertise, leveraging tech and data to solve customers’ complex problems. “We often act as human translators, from ‘technobabble’ to plain English,” explained Vitalii. “Once we have identified the right solution with the customer, we also implement it and ensure that our customers are fully enabled to take advantage of it.” Vitalii is one of our experts and thoroughly enjoys this unique combination in his role.
As a Senior Consultant, Vitalii leads various projects within his specialist area of consumer goods. However, the value of our Execution Management System (EMS) allows Consultants to impact every process of every industry. Whether it’s transportation, energy, or even healthcare, they’re changing the way thousands of companies approach their processes.
“I help define and prioritize the tasks to achieve the highest possible project success and customer satisfaction, with the lowest time and resource investment,” shared Vitalii. “Becoming a trusted adviser for the customer is my single most important success factor in any project.” However, he doesn’t do this alone. The Services team is filled with diverse and talented people, all with different skills and expertise. This allows them to learn from each other and tackle the most challenging issues. When everyone moves together, success takes care of itself.
Why did you decide to join Celonis, and what’s unique about us?
“I decided to switch to Celonis due to the potential of the process mining industry and the impressive product the company built,” said Vitalii. “I was impressed by the leadership position of Celonis in the industry, and also the opportunity to work with the best professionals in the field.”
Vitalii, like many others, was drawn to Celonis after being introduced to our EMS, the first of its kind. It's enabling us to eliminate billions of dollars in corporate inefficiencies worldwide through process optimization. We were leaders when Vitalii joined Celonis, and that remains true to this day. In March 2023, Gartner named Celonis a Leader in the first-ever Magic Quadrant™ for Process Mining Tools. An achievement that wouldn’t be possible without our people.
The culture our people continue to build was another reason Vitalii joined Team Celonis. “The culture of innovation and its continuous pursuit of pushing boundaries attracted me,” he continued. “I saw Celonis as a perfect platform for me and my personal career development.” We continue to grow as a company, and we need our people to grow with us. Describe your team.
“We can be described in three words: collaborative, innovative, and driven,” answered Vitalii. “Our great team spirit and collaboration are what make the project successful.”
The team is committed not just to our customers, but to each other. “We utilize a whiteboard in our office to draw solutions and we communicate with each other and exchange ideas. I think that's what guarantees the success of anything we touch,” Vitalii revealed. Teamwork makes the dreamwork, and that’s why we believe that the #BestTeamWins.
What is your proudest moment at Celonis so far?
“My proudest moment at Celonis so far was being part of a co-innovation project that involved real-time data processing,” explained Vitalii. “So our team has developed a custom solution from scratch that not only met the customer's needs but also exceeded their expectations.”
At Celonis, we own it. That applies to our consultants too. They develop data-driven process insights using SQL and create complex data models to ensure that customers receive maximum value. Working with the best people, all with the same passion for success, allowed Vitalii and his team to create something that completely changed the way their client worked.
“This not only demonstrated the value of our technology but also the value of the team working on it,” he shared. “The success of this project led to a valuable, long-term relationship with the customer.” This cycle of building solutions, realizing value, and seeing customers eager to expand Celonis’ involvement in their business is what fulfills and motivates Vitalii. “The most rewarding part for me is seeing the impact of my work firsthand,” he expressed. Do what you love, and love what you do.
How is success for Consultants measured and celebrated?
Our core principle ‘#LiveForCustomerValue’ is ingrained in everything the services team does. With their commitment, Celonis has helped more than 3000 businesses globally perform at levels they never thought possible. “We measure the success of all our projects through customer satisfaction,” said Vitalii. Our Services team boasts an excellent customer satisfaction rate which is a reason for many of our customer success stories so far.
“It's fair to say that the team in general follows the motto work hard, play hard,” stated Vitalii.“After an intensive working phase, we have team lunches, happy hours, and also team events.” They’re committed to success, but always make time to celebrate their wins. “We also like to get together outside of working hours and do either laser tag or bowling or some other fun activities!” If you can laugh together, you can work together.
What’s your favorite part about our culture?
Celonis’ culture is unique and crucial to our success. Our values help us get there, but it’s our people who make it happen.
