Celonis Appoints Fernando Ranz as Country Leader for Iberia and LATAM

MADRID and MUNICH, August 1, 2023 - Celonis, the global leader in Process Mining, today announced the appointment of Fernando Ranz as Regional Vice President and Country Leader for Iberia and Latin America (LATAM). He will be based out of the Celonis Madrid office, which was established as a key international hub for Celonis about 3 years ago and meanwhile passed its 500 employee mark. 

Ranz will drive the growth of Celonis in the wide-reaching Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets, pulling from his 20+ years of international experience in global organizations such as Salesforce, Oracle, AT&T and NCR Global. He has worked and lived in six different countries and has held diverse leadership positions in Europe and Asia. Ranz will also oversee Celonis partnerships and alliances throughout the Iberia and LATAM regions. 

Many renowned Spanish companies in the areas such as financial services, public sector, pharmaceutical, energy, telecommunications and retail already rely on Celonis. Under Ranz’s leadership, Celonis Iberia and LATAM will also add the hospitality, travel and transportation sectors to this list of focus areas. Celonis’ technology helps organizations of all industries and sizes find and capture business value in their processes, enabling them to perform at levels they never thought possible - by saving costs, reducing CO2 emissions and working more efficiently than ever before.

Ranz comes to Celonis from Salesforce, where he was directly involved in many digital transformation projects carried out by European and Asian companies across different industries. After eight years achieving exponential growth at Salesforce in southern Europe and building up successful sales teams, Ranz relocated to Singapore in October 2021 where he was Area Vice president for eight countries in Asia. 

Before joining Salesforce, Ranz was at Oracle for 14 years, where he started as a consultant before pivoting to sales. He also has more than 10 years experience of implementing and leading sales teams around ERP solutions to help companies improve their financial and supply chain processes. Ranz is a Computer Science Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, MBA by EADA and Executive Development Degree by IESE.

Ranz’s appointment comes shortly after Celonis was named a leader in Gartner’s® first-ever Magic Quadrant for Process Mining Tools. The report catapulted process mining into c-level consciousness and placed Celonis highest in both axes, Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. In collaboration with its customers and partners, Celonis continues to advance the category, most recently with the market introduction of Object-Centric Process Mining, an innovation providing new perspectives into how businesses run, next-level process intelligence and intelligent automations.
